SPU Manila Community Participates in Living Rosary

ST. PAUL UNIVERSITY MANILA - After several years of hiatus due to the global pandemic, the SPU Manila community gathered together to participate in the Living Rosary held in the Chapel of the Crucified Christ on October 25. Present at the said event were the SPC Sisters, administrators, faculty and staff, and students from the Senior High School and College Departments.

The lector, Mr. Maynard Cornejo, invited the attendees to participate actively. He emphasized the relevance of the rosary to every Paulinian’s spiritual well-being, highlighting it as a “communal experience and collaborative form of prayer.” Each mystery was accompanied by a tableau presented by members of the Tanghalang St. Paul (TSP). The members of TSP re-enacted the events highlighted in every mystery; they donned costumes and carried props representing the mysteries of the rosary.

CASE, CBM, CMPA, CNAHS, and the SHS Departments led the prayers for each mystery. Reflections, such as living life in simplicity and recognizing the Holy Spirit, brought the performances to life and helped Paulinians to grasp the importance of the rosary.

The song “Awit ng Ina sa Santo Rosaryo” officially closed the Living Rosary. The event ended with a photo op of the community forming a cross inside the chapel.
